Along the kilometres of coast, emptiness fills the streets, waterparks, apartments, hotel complexes and even real cities. Decades of intense urban development in Catalan Countries, in the name of the tourist industry, have radically changed our landscape, to the exent of turning it into a big mass of asphalt, swimming pools and purposely placed palm trees. In the summer, the promenades, bars, terraces, hotels and apartaments are constantly full of swimsuits and towels, cars and bicycles, paellas and beers. The rest of the year, the majority of the year, there is Nothing. Emptiness. Blinds down. Closed for (non) holiday. Low Season.
